Kościół pochodzi z XII wieku, a w obecne miejsce został przeniesiony kamień po kamieniu w latach 60. XX wieku z dawnego Puertomarín, które obecnie jest zalane przez wody zbiornika Belesar utworzonego na rzece Miño.
